Sustainability

Haros Meubelen has been producing sustainably for years through:
Separate waste correctly. Consider:

  • Plastic
  • Paper
  • Wood
  • Foam

We also work sustainably by using recycled materials. Our furniture covers are all made from recycled raw materials. These are materials that you reuse. The big advantage is that no or fewer new raw materials need to be used. Very nice, for example, if the raw material is very scarce. The use of recycled materials also ensures energy savings compared to production of new materials, which in turn causes less damage to the environment. Many sustainable raw materials have a sustainable certificate. Just think of the FSC label for wood. All wood with that label comes from healthy forests, where responsible forest management takes place.

Haros Meubelen also generates sustainable energy through solar panels. By using energy-efficient LED lamps with motion sensors, we also use much less power. By providing the roof with roof insulation and wall and cavity insulation, we also save a lot on heating costs.

But by using first-class materials we can also produce sustainably. Sustainable furniture is also furniture that lasts longer, does not wear out quickly and is relatively environmentally friendly. Sustainable furniture is often made from recycled or reused materials. For example, wood is inherently a sustainable material that can be used in sustainable furniture.

What is also sustainable is that you give your furniture a second life by donating/selling it to someone else. That’s better than taking a piece of furniture to the waste dump. Sometimes you simply get tired of it, but it is otherwise in good conditio
